Going Home

Well after a short stay at the hospital it’s timeSONY DSC for baby Trinity to go home. I spent the better part of my day at the hospital waiting for them to release her. It seemed as if it was taking forever, and I suppose it was just because we were all so very tired.

Kayla and Trinity did great as they patiently waited to get discharged. Trinity was busy with her first hearing test  (she passed with flying colors) and other types of checkups that babies do before they go home. SONY DSCCarrie Jo came by, and we visited with Kayla and Trinity while we waited for them to discharge the new mommy and baby. It is so nice to see how happy Carrie is being “Aunt Carrie”, she does so well with Trinity and I just know she will be a great Aunt!!

Baby Trinity Arrives

SONY DSCThe long awaited arrival of baby Trinity is here. She came to us at 5:34 am and is in perfect health. I can’t begin to express the feelings of becoming a grandparent; to watch as your child gives birth and becomes a parent is something I will never forget.

We spent the majority of Trinity’s first day at the hospital with her, taking pictures….lots and lots of pictures. Funny how I just kept snapping and snapping the photos one after another. I’m willing to bet that I have 100’s of pictures that look almost identical, but were taken mere minutes (or seconds) apart.  SONY DSC

What a wonderful day; seeing my daughter hold her daughter for the first time. The love and joy in her eyes and she held her daughter and looked into her eyes for the first time. I look forward to documenting the life of young Trinity as she grows, watching her learn how to crawl, walk and to hear her first words.

Another great part of the day was to witness SONY DSCTrinity embrace her family. She was visited by everyone that was in the area and they all came bearing love and affection. There was an steady stream of visitors throughout the day as she met and was held by us all.
